Terms and Conditions:
- 1) Your purchase of Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle entries is from British Heart Foundation ("The Promoter”), solely in accordance with the terms under which the Charity from time to time promotes its lotteries.

2) You represent and agree that:
a. You are 18 years of age or over
b. You are a resident of the United Kingdom
c. You will not buy or purport to buy an entry to this lottery on behalf of anybody under the age of 18
d. You will provide accurate entry information, including your name, personal address and telephone number and accept that it is your responsibility to keep us informed of any changes as soon as they arise. - 3) You agree that you shall not be entitled to receive any prize if you are unable to substantiate to the Promoter your representations outlined in points 2 (a), (b) and (c) above.
- 4) You accept that the BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle is regulated by the Gambling Commission and that in certain circumstances we may be unable to provide refunds or replacements once you have purchased your lottery entries.
- 5) The cost of each entry is £2.50 per play. Members may purchase more than one entry and payment must be made in advance by via The BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle website,
- 6) The Promoter may (without giving any reason or notice at its absolute discretion) decline to accept an application or terminate or suspend the lottery scheme.
- 7) The Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle draw will be conducted by a Random Number Generator (RNG) on 16th December 2024. The results will be published on the Charity Shop Sue website.
- 8) The prizes for The BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle are printed on the Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle website. There are no alternatives to any prize and no interest is payable. Cash prizes will be paid by cheque and all prizes will be posted to the winners within 14 days
- 9) No liability is accepted for the loss, theft or delayed receipt of any communication sent by post.
- 10) The Promoter is not responsible for any delay in bank payments.
- 11) The Promoter operates a Complaints And Disputes Procedure which is available via the BHF website https://raffle.bhf.org.uk/enter and which will also be made available to customers upon request or upon receipt of a complaint.
- 12) BHF is committed to ensure that information about how to gamble responsibly and how to access information and help in respect of problem gambling is readily available to all. - 13) The Promoter’s decisions made pursuant to the Rules shall, once made, be final and binding.
- 14) We reserve the right to contact winners and ask to use their name, location and prize for marketing purposes.
- 15) All profits raised from the Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle will go towards the work of the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
- 16) Entries must be returned to arrive before the closing date of the BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle. The draw date for the BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle will be printed on the letter promoting the BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle and on the website, https://raffle.bhf.org.uk/enter. The closing date of the BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle can be found below on this page. Any entries received after the closing date will be treated as a donation to the BHF.
- 17) Supporters in Northern Ireland can join the raffle by the website, https://raffle.bhf.org.uk/enter
- 18) BHF employees and volunteers may enter the BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle, apart from BHF trustees, BHF’s Executive Strategy Team, and those BHF employees directly involved in the administration or management of the BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle. Where they could have or be perceived to have an unfair advantage, employees of any External Lottery Manager involved in the promotion or facilitation of the BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle, and anyone professionally connected with the BHF Chairty Shop Sue Christmas Raffle in any way may not enter the BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle.
- 19) You may purchase more than one entry but the maximum number of entries is 24 entries up to a value of £60

a. any loss or damage, including the right to receive a prize, suffered by you if you have not complied with these terms and conditions or any relevant participation instructions;
b. the loss, theft or delayed receipt of any communication or entry, or which is damaged or illegible, from which the entrant or winner cannot be identified or which has insufficient postage (proof of posting is not proof of receipt);
c. the Promoter’s failure or inability to contact you and/or award any prize due to any errors omissions or inaccuracies in the contact or bank details you have provided or your failure to update these if they change;
d. loss or damage incurred by you in connection with your participation in the BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle or your use of any prize (including but not limited to direct, indirect and/or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the prize or any part of it;
e. any interruptions or errors on or to the Website; technical hardware or software errors or failures or lost, faulty or unavailable network connections; or
f. any failure or delay beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control. - 21) The Promoter is not liable in contract, tort (including but not limited to negligence) or otherwise in connection with the BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle for loss of revenue, contract, profits, anticipated savings or loss of data, any special or indirect or consequential losses or any loss of goodwill or reputation. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud or for any other matter for which liability may not be limited by law.
- 22) All warranties, conditions or guarantees relating to the BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle made by or on behalf of the Promoter whether express or implied by law, in the course of dealings or otherwise, are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- 23) Subject to clause 21, the Promoter’s liability to any customer shall be limited to the amount of any prize which have become due to you.
- 24) The Promoter may amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any significant changes shall be notified via the Website or by contacting you directly using the contact details you provided to us on registration (such method to be determined by the Promoter in its discretion).
- 25) The Promoter will use your information to enable you to take part in the BHF Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle. For more information about how the Promoter uses use personal data see BHF’s Privacy Policy.
- 26) Winners’ prizes will be dispatched by post and details of the winners will be made available on the BHF website. Any cheques remaining uncashed for over 6 months will be cancelled and the unclaimed prizes will be used to fund BHF’s life-saving work (although no Gift Aid will be claimed).

Online entries are open until 11:59pm 16 December 2024. Any money received after the closing date will be treated as a donation and used to help fund BHF’s lifesaving work. Charity Shop Sue Christmas Raffle draw will be conducted by a Random Number Generator (RNG) 16 December 2024.
Likelihood of winning:
In 2024 the likelihood of winning a prize was, on average, 1 in 447 in our regular Weekly Lotteries and 1 in 18,836 for our Superdraw raffles.
In 2024, we raised £5,557,984.00 in proceeds from our lottery and Superdraw raffles. We spent 75.20% on promoting and running our lottery and Superdraw raffles. 4.75% was spent on prizes and 20.05% was spent on charitable activities, such as funding lifesaving research.
